The tail of a 99-million-year-old dinosaur, including bones, soft tissue, and even feathers, has been found preserved in amber, according to a report published today in the journal Current Biology.
I've heard of chasing some old tail but this is ridiculous.
Cool!!
It IS cool!
No. It's dead. BTW, this discovery is going to be known as the end of humanity after a scientist uses its DNA to repopulate the world with Dinosaurs.
I think you've found a good movie plot line!
OK so they've only got a tail with feathers and the critter was small enough to hop around in a hand. How do they know that it wasn't a bird?
It basically was a bird. The Cretaceous period was the end of the dinos and the beginning of the type of stuff we are familiar with. Birds are basically the only descendants of dinosaurs we have today.
How do they know that it wasn't a bird?
It basically was a bird.
It's so good I'll bet I could get Spielberg to direct!
