President-elect Donald Trump, the real estate businessman and political novice whose election campaign made the entire world take notice, has been selected as TIME’s 2016 Person of the Year.

The magazine revealed its choice Wednesday on TODAY.

Exactly.  Trump defied the polls, the critics and made history. He defeated the famous Hillary Clinton.  The one person everyone (including herself) thought was going to win and they were popping champagne corks even before the votes started coming in.  I remember Blitzer having a meltdown on the public airwaves trying to rearrange the votes coming in so that different scenarios would show Hillary could still win; he wouldn't even report the number of votes coming in or announce that Trump had won the state until well after other news channels reported Trump's win.
