Madonna on Trump win: 'Women hate women'

Madonna has a simple explanation for why she thinks so many women voted for Donald Trump for president: "Women hate women."

"Women hate women," the singer said during an interview with Billboard published Monday.
The singer drew a distinction between men and women, saying men protect each other while women protect men and children, instead of one another.
 
"A lot of it has do with jealousy and some sort of tribal inability to accept that one of their kind could lead a nation," Madonna said.
 
Despite a series of controversies over Trump's treatment of women, including allegations of sexual assaults, exit polls suggested that Trump outperformed Hillary Clinton amongst white women voters. Other women, Madonna said, didn't vote in the election because they didn't like either candidate or they didn't think Trump could win.
 
"They took their hands off the wheel, and then the car crashed," she said.
   
Madonna said she was in shock when she found out the election results and hasn't had a good night of sleep since. When the singer does manage to sleep, she said she wakes up only to remember once again that Trump actually is the president-elect, instead of just a nightmare she had.
 
"We're f---ed," she said.
 
Madonna and Trump have met in the past, according to the singer, when she originally found his "political incorrectness amusing."
 
"I just can’t put him and Barack Obama in the same ­sentence, same room, same job description," she said.
 
Madonna has previously criticized Trump and praised Hillary Clinton.

I'm a woman. I would LOVE to see a woman president in my lifetime.

There are several women I think would make good/ great presidents.

The thing Madonna doesn't understand is unfortunately, Hillary wouldn't. I'm not going to vote for her because she has lady parts. Her actions as Senator and Secretary of State proved to me she was not the right stuff in my mind to be  president.

Yes it is upsetting that other countries have made women head of their countries, and we haven't- yet. (Unless you want to consider Mrs. Wilson). Like I said, I would love to see a woman president in my lifetime.
