Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) is under consideration to serve as the secretary of Veterans Affairs in Donald Trump's administration, ABC News reported.

Palin was a strong supporter of the president-elect throughout his campaign.

She endorsed the billionaire in January during his primary campaign, ahead of the Iowa state caucuses.

Reports surfaced earlier this month that Palin was a possibility to head the Interior Department.

Some lawmakers, however, questioned whether she would be up to speed on policy.

I think it's reasonable to assume this is just anti-Trump trolling by ABC. If not, then this would indeed be one of those things that might make me regret my vote.

The petulant push back from the entrenched liberal bureaucrats, administrators and other employees in the VA would most likely worsen the situations...this doesn't strike me as very intelligent or smart.

It's a very provocative move to say the least...

The system needs an overhaul, a cleansing, but needs to be done in such a manner that the current operations don't worsen and trend to improving while implementing necessary changes.

I hope so. Palin is a lightweight. If Trump wants to reward her for jumping on the Trump Train, he needs to find some job where she can do no harm.

Sarah and the VA would be a disaster and not because she isn't a VET. John McCain who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, can't fix the VA. Her experience as a mayor (6 yrs), Chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (less than a yr), Gov of Alaska (less than 3 yrs) would be severely lacking in tackling the entrenched bureaucracy that continues to fail our Veterans.

Congress needs to pass Legislation to overhaul this boondoggle.

Lots of people don't like Palin. She and her family have been scrutinized relentlessly by the media. I believe her to be patriot and she has 'bucked the system' so to speak several times. I think she would be a good Secy' VA.

My mom worked for the VA for 30 years or so. Daughter of a vet. DIL of a vet. Wife, sister, SIL, aunt (and probably more I don't know of) of a vet. And I wouldn't want her anywhere near that job.

Palin, OTOH, has executive experience and a proven record of being willing to break eggs if they need to be broken. If she cares about veterans (I've heard she knows some), she might not be a bad pick.

However, I've been saying Press Secretary for years. Yes, I hate the MSM that much.

First and foremost I respect your Mom's dedication to this Country and it's Vets.

Sarah Palin is not a Ditzy FNC bleach Blonde, so no press Secretary for her.

Her only experience with the VA is her Son's PTSD and he has a replacement treatment, not VA.

Screw her Executive Experience, she'd be better at Interior or Energy, if Perry don't want it, she was, after all the stewardess of America's Last Wilderness for 2 1/2 years, tap her potential (if any) instead of putting her in a lose/lose situation like the VA.

Okay, so who do the MSM WH press pool hate more? Because that's the person I want them to have to listen to when they want a quote. That's the person to whom I want them to have to ask their questions. That's the person I want to have more or less veto authority over them by being able to simply do nothing more than ignore them.
