I can think of a few off the top of my head. First on my list is Mark Davis, who spent nearly a minute specifically thanking God that Trump won. Sums up the narrative to what we're sure to see during the next four years: no matter how badly Trump errs, the rejoinder will be "Hillary would have been worse!!!!"
There is some truth to that, but try to display a bit more critical thought in analyzing the situation (not directed at you, Talisker).
Well actually that's precisely my thinking, except I'm more intense about it. See, I think Hillary is actually insane. I don't think she just would have been "bad" - I think she would have destroyed the country and killed as many millions of Americans she could in the process. Nuclear war, American gulags, millions of Muslim and Mexican invaders, formally criminalized white Christianity, and on and on and on. I think that's her dream - to be the one who finally murders America.
And Trump? I don't think Donald is insane. I don't think he's a conservative, but I also don't think he's a leftist. I think he's more of what used to be called a "Kennedy Democrat." And compared to what the Democrats are these days, that's very good. He's not going to make conservatives happy though, IMO, because he believes in a certain amount of minimal socialism. His big problem is going to be to keep from being sandbagged by the Communist RINOS while being screamed at for four solid years by #nevertrumpers for his lack of conservative perfection. On the other hand, his strength is that he really is going to radically improve the economy, and that's a tide that will raise all boats and shut a lot of naysayers up.
But also IMHO, we had no choice at all - Hillary was grinning death on a stick, and ALL of the other Republican candidates were running to lose to her.
