Today it was announced that Direc TV Now will be available November 30th 2016.


“We’re extending our entertainment portfolio for those who value premium content but also want more TV freedom suited for their lifestyle, whether watching at home or on their mobile devices.


This is TV your way,” said John Stankey, CEO, AT&T Entertainment Group.


“Our new customer-centric offers show that mobility and entertainment are better together,” added Stankey.

It would make too much sense.. But in reality I think we are seeing the end of the traditional cable/satellite tv service.

That would cost MORE than what you're paying now.

Unless you don't watch sports (in which case, yeah, you probably would save money a la carte), most of those "channels I won't ever watch" like the home shopping, crooked televangelist and infomercial channels actually PAY to be on your lineup, lowering your bill. Quite a few others are free.

This streaming package is NOT offered on Roku devices.

Will come to Roku 1st quarter 2017 -- hurray

I am committed to cutting the cable. It is imminent.

I have 3 rokus in my household now. (got the 3rd one free for prepaying 3 months of Sling TV)

I intend to look into Direct TV Now.

Would you recommend the vertical dipole or its electromagnetic
equivalent, the monopole as the best antenna for 1950's terrestrial analog signal reception?

The electromagnetic of course. It adds more excitement if you have a plate in your head when fine tuning that station.

A tin foil helps with the vertical gain too.
