President-elect Donald Trump is considering retired General David Petraeus to be secretary of state and plans to meet with the former CIA director Monday in New York, according to a senior official with the transition.

The celebrated four-star general, who left government under a cloud for sharing classified documents during an extramarital affair, is meeting with the president-elect amid infighting among Trump’s advisers about who to pick for the post. The possibility that Trump might instead tap former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for the post has fueled an extraordinary public lobbying campaign against him.

Just another butterball for the press and leftists to keep them off guard.  The true value of Patreaus would be to recall him to active duty and appoint him as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is a good military strategist, not a statesman.

I watched Kelly Ann on the various news programs yesterday totally dump on Romney.   She had to have Trump's okay to do that or she would be under the bus today.  Speculation says Trump did this to Romney on purpose for "pay back", have Romney come see him "eating crow", then let Kelly Ann dump him.

After Kelly Ann dumped Romney (for Trump so he wouldn't be the one to do it), here comes Petraeus to save the day.  I think Trump will choose him or he wouldn't be meeting with him today.

state dept. "fight"?
