A former top aide to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and seven others, including some of the governor’s allies and donors, were indicted Tuesday on federal public-corruption charges that involved some of the governor’s signature economic-development programs.
A federal grand jury indicted Joseph Percoco, the governor’s former aide, and Alain Kaloyeros, a former president of a state university, and the others with 14 counts, including bribery, extortion and conspiracy. That included two counts of wire fraud — charges that hadn’t appeared in a September criminal complaint.
