Poll: Americans split on Trump presidency
By Harper Neidig - 11/22/16 09:12 AM EST

Americans are split on whether Donald Trump will do a good job as president, according to a new CNN/ORC poll.

Fifty-three percent say that the president-elect will do a very or fairly good job as president, while 44 percent think he will do very or fairly poorly.

Voters are even more divided over Trump’s handling of the transition, with 45 percent approving and 46 percent disapproving.

For comparison, a previous CNN poll found that 79 percent approved of President Obama’s transition efforts in the first two days of 2008, while 18 percent disapproved.
