Looks to me like a complex, hazardous, looming, disastrous mess.

Normally, I'd think living higher and further from the coast would be wise. But that Alpine Fault running up the spine of NZ is an even greater hazard of an even much larger quake. And it's almost overdue.

Soooo, there's the Alpine Fault mostly in the South . . . and that huge volcano in the North. Almost sounds like our recent SElection "choice."
