Obama reserves right to nag Trump from sidelines
« on: November 21, 2016, 02:11:32 pm »
Quote
President Obama wouldn’t promise Sunday that he will resist nagging Donald Trump from the sidelines after he leaves office, despite his predecessor, George W. Bush, studiously avoiding criticism of his presidency.

The president said as a citizen “who cares deeply about our country,” he might feel the need to weigh in on “core questions about our values and our ideals.”

“If I think it’s necessary or helpful for me to defend those ideals, then I’ll examine it when it comes,” Mr. Obama said at a press conference in Lima, Peru. He acknowledged that Mr. Bush “could not have been more gracious to me” when he took office.

Mr. Obama, who called Mr. Trump unfit to serve as president during the campaign, said he would try to stay out of the Republican’s way.

“I want to be respectful of the office and give the president-elect an opportunity to put forward his platform and his arguments without somebody popping off in every instance,” Mr. Obama said.

The president again predicted that Mr. Trump will back off of some of his campaign promises when he is confronted with the “reality” of governing.

A gentlemen he is not.  As power passes in this country, he cannot resist the chance to criticize.

And the MSM will fawn over his every word, so he will be very visible.

We have the Obama curse for the next 50 years, like Jimmy Carter.
No punishment, in my opinion, is too great, for the man who can build his greatness upon his country's ruin~  George Washington

No class.  Not too surprising.
The Constitution is not a suggestion.

Austin, I love your post.

I could not have said it better myself.

We are still playing by dishonorable no class ghetto rules.  I was hoping that that tactic and thought process would go away with Obama but he persists in trying to make it mainstream.  Your stream exactly portrays what I think of he and his ghetto thug attitude.

“I want to be respectful of the office"
-----------------------------------------------------------

Well, that would be a first. If he wanted to 'be respectful of the office" he wouldn't miss two thirds of his scheduled meetings to play golf every day. He wouldn't sit back with his feet on the desk in the oval office. And he wouldn't 'accidentally' flip off every White person who tries to give him a briefing about something.

If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.

Obama will give Trump space, but will speak up if need be, giving the Democrats a leading voice they need.
president barack obama

President Barack Obama has said that he will not constantly criticize President-elect Donald Trump once they transition, but he will speak up if a certain situation arises:

“As an American citizen who cares deeply about our country, if there are issues that have less to do with the specifics of some legislative proposal or battle or go to core questions about our values and ideals, and if I think that it’s necessary or helpful for me to defend those ideals, I’ll examine it when it comes,” Obama told reporters.

First of all, he would have to know what American values are.  He probably means he will protect communist/socialist values.  He is also saying, like a good narcissist, he can't stand being out of the spotlight.

When Obama, Hillary, and the Left use their incessant mantra, "That is not who WE are!". They are telling the truth. Immigration control, keeping men out of the girls bathroom, etc. is not who THEY are.

Unfortunately for them, as we saw in the last election, their "values" have nothing to do with American values at all.

Whatever he learned of them in Islamic school in Indonesia and at Frank M. Davis's knee.
