Trump ripped into Christie by phone before demotion: report
By Nikita Vladimirov - 11/19/16 12:27 PM EST

President-elect Donald Trump ripped into New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in a phone conversation shortly before removing him from the head of his transition team, according to a new report.

Trump expressed worries about Christie's involvement in the Bridgegate scandal and disappointment in his job performance on the transition team, Politico reported Saturday.
Shortly after the phone call, Vice President-elect Mike Pence replaced Christie atop the transition team, and several Christie allies were removed from Trump's orbit.

The president-elect was reportedly unhappy with the number of lobbyists that Christie had on the transition team, as well as his choice to fill the staff with his own friends and loyalists.

Trump also found Christie unprepared when it came to vetting potential administration picks and examining potential conflicts of interest, the report said.

In addition, several reports have said Christie was deeply disliked by Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who became an influential advisor to Trump throughout his presidential campaign.

Because Christie convicted Kushner's crooked daddy on multiple felony charges.

Bridgegate has been common knowledge, even before the primaries.  What happened to that "Trump Loyalty:" thingy everyone talks about? :silly:
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

Isn't that a good thing, though?  Would you rather Trump was a Hillary-clone who valued loyalty over everything else?

The article mentioned not only Bridgegate, but also his performance on the transition team.  And even with respect to Bridgegate, the convictions didn't even come down until the Friday before the election.

That Trump loyalty is a fantasy construct.

"Usefulness" is probably a better word and it doesn't flow down from Trump, only up to Trump until such time as he decides to toss a tool aside. Something his online toadies here would be well advised to take note of.

Yup.  And his biggest set of tools are all the little Trumpkins who put him where he is now.  Notice how he's rather quickly reneging on just about every campaign promise he made.
