Outside California, Clinton Is A Big-Time Popular Vote Loser

Donald Trump's opponents are having something of a field day with news that Hillary Clinton's lead in the popular vote currently tops 1 million.

As US News put it, "Trump's legitimacy has been called into question by his adversaries because he didn't win the popular vote, adding to the desire among his critics to defy him from the start of his administration."

If Donny won the popular vote, would the Left just quietly move on? No. They would find some other thing to rail against.

Yes, the quaint idea of States is so dated don't you know...

It is a disorder.

One more reason to have the electoral college.
The Republic is lost.

Some leftist Silicon Valley types want California to secede.  Perhaps we should let them -- provided counties bordering other states are given plebiscites to decide whether to go with California or join a neighboring state, and a requirement of a free trade agreement and use of the US dollar as their currency for at least a decade.

I'm not wild about Trump, but the leftist excess that his rise was a reaction against is largely due to the cultural and electoral influence of California.
And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.

Some guy on the radio last night was saying that mail in ballots usually break for the GOP by 2-1, and they haven't been counted yet. So if that were true, he is predicting that Trump would catch up to and overtake Clinton in the PV.

Have no idea whether or not it is true.

Some years back I was perhaps the first poster over at TOS who first asked the "Ann Landers" question regarding California, that is:

"Would America be better off with California, or without it?"

The question is more pertinent today, than ever.

We need California. Despite the liberal domination it has a lot of good things. Silicon valley, Hollywood, etc. And even conservatism needs a dissenting voice.
