What is a skill that is only useful in the military?
Of all the things the military teaches troops, some of them will only be useful to a military career

Crapping in a ziploc bag and cleaning up with two pieces of toilet paper.

Barrel rolling an attack chopper at 270 knots.

You never worked on an American railroad then.

Until not-that-many years ago, engines on Norfolk Southern had toilets like this. Crews were issued a plastic bag on reporting, and were supposed to turn it back in after the trip.

It took quite a fight by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the United Transportation Union (that represents conductors & trainmen) to get them to install standard (liquid chemical) pump-flush toilets on the engines...

Creating Power Point Presentations.

THE BALLAD OF THE POWER POINT RANGER
(sung to the tune of “The Green Beret”)
Requests are made from day to day;
Briefings held and changes made.
Graphic slides, a must they say,
Power Point is the only way.

Computers crash and printers stall,
Overloading protocol.
Network’s down and soldiers cry
Briefing’s late, so heads will fly.

Pin Power Point slides upon my chest,
Full color slides, they look the best
100 slides were made that day
but only 10 made the final display.

Smiles upon the General’s face
Slides were done, looked really great
Was up all night really working late,
Just to hear the General say ….

My soldier son, your slides were great,
Briefing’s done, staff’s up to date,
One problem son, you took too long,
So put in one more change, then go on home.

So tell my Mom I done my best,
Pin Power Point slides upon my chest
100 slides were made that day,
but only 10 made the final display

Back in the late sixties I worked on the railroad during the summers when I was in undergrad school.  When the toilet was flushed on the engine, you could see the rail ties passing underneath.  The weeds between the rails didn't grow too well. :silly:

Well, I was a crewman on a tactical nuclear missile system.  I tried to find work on civilian nuclear missile crews after I ETSed, but I was unsuccessful.  I have to believe it was because my military skills just didn't transfer...

The following set of drill commands cannot even be used by marching bands...

Open ranks, march!

Half-right, face!

Front-leaning rest position, move!
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!
