It was perhaps the unthinkable: President Obama meeting with his successor at the White House in the first step to carry out the peaceful transition of power in the American Republic — and it's Donald Trump.

But that's exactly what happened Thursday morning in what amounts to one of the more surreal moments in American political history.

When he came out to make his acceptance speech, he looked pissed. He does not look happy here either. There is some REALLY ugly stuff going on behind the scenes.

Disappointed at Trump saying it was an honor to meet Zero. It is an honor to be in the WH and know that you are responsible for the direction of the USA. I wonder what really went on. Have to go to work now. Catch up later.

What I don't understand is why all these articles go on about things as if Barry has any say in anything. Trump has all the power. Barry is reduced to begging for scraps so his legacy has something left to hang a hat on.

Barry "I want..."
Trump: "No"

Thats all there is to it. There is nothing to negotiate. Barry does and Trump undoes. Afterall, thats what Barry did 8 years ago.

That meeting probably had a lot of threats going trump's way in abject fear. Maybe it isn't anger but confusion on Trump's face. "WTF do you think you're doing Barry? I tell YOU now."

Or maybe it's the weight of the world.  Trump may have been as surprised as anyone that he won.   Now he's got to assemble a government,  formulate priorities and - and this may be unprecedented - address what's to become of his many businesses now that he's President.

I suspect Trump will let us know what happened in there...if you watch the video on Fox he looks mad...I am guessing he is just being polite in the Oval

I understand your point, but seriously, go back and watch the video. I watched it a couple times to be sure because it struck me so hard the first time as it happened.

He looks like a man that just came out of a meeting that was pretty contentious. Or a guy that just found out his wife was out with the pool boy. Real pissed.

Obama is a mean man behind the scenes and I am sure the meeting was contentious to say the least..naturally the MSM is trying to portray Obama as a wonderful host and trying to ease the transition...which I think is far from the truth.

Don't look at what they say..body language is everything..Trump looks like he wants to get the hell out of there..Obama is in his Mr Nice guy persona

Sorry, I meant the election night video when he came out to speak. the first couple min of his speech he had a well controlled rage thing going on but then he 'hit stride' so to speak. His words were extremely measured as if he were fighting the urge to do...something...

Did anyone consider that they may not have been a fight or any of the projecting people are putting on this situation. Maybe the weight of the job is just now hitting him. Maybe he was given a run down of some of the serious, active threats and he is having a 'oh crap, the lives of billions really are on my shoulders' moments.

It is hard to say or speculate what really went on.

Yes. But as I said above, watch his expression. Thats anger at the acceptance speech. As myst said, look at the body language. I've no doubt he feels the weight, but there is far more to it.
