Ed Klein: Obama 'Ambivalent' Over Hillary Loss Because He Remains as Head of Party
Wednesday, November 9, 2016 05:52 PM

By: Todd Beamon

President Barack Obama was "ambivalent" about Hillary Clinton's loss to Donald Trump on Tuesday because "clearly his legacy is in big trouble," best-selling conservative author Ed Klein told Newsmax TV on Wednesday.

"He knows it," Klein told "The Steve Malzberg Show" in an interview. "It's called ambivalence. He's ambivalent.

"If the Clintons disappear as a real political force, it leaves Obama as head of the party," he added. "He's still the former president, outranks everybody else — and he's going to live in Washington, D.C."

Regardless, however, "the Democrats are going to have to reassemble," Klein told Malzberg. "They're going to have to figure out why this happened to them.

"All this stuff that the Democrats are facing now — and Obama is going to be part of that conversation," he said. "The Clintons, in my view, are not."
