The unbending, self-focused drumbeat from the NT's was confusing:  how could so conservative a group not actively rise to stop another President Clinton?

Because voting AGAINST the democrats with whatever NY liberal Democrat the GOP runs as their standard-bearer is NOT Conservative.  It simply enabled the GOP to BECOME a party of Liberalism.

So I was done practicing insanity.  I doesn't matter that it was Clinton, and I gave my reasons already for why.

Thankfully, American voters answered the clarion call.

And in fear of the Communists, they voted for what may become an American Fascist with his own dictatorial ambitions.  Congrats.  History may repeat again.

My country's well-being comes before my own.

That is the difference between you and most principled Conservatives - we put GOD and His Ways before country.

We do not practice idolatry and make political parties, government and the culture our god.

We do not expect you to comprehend or understand that.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

What did Prager say, if one was sick and you'd die unless your leg was amputated, are you going to say you won't pick between the two evils? He was talking about this this morning.

Um, okay, remember when Trump and all of his acolytes told us Never-Trumpers that we were insignificant and he didn't need us? What changed?
Apparently some Trumpist Monks aren't going to rest until all #Never Trump have been made to bow down to their orange god. I'm willing to give Trump a chance, but that isn't good enough.

Proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory, is a foreign concept to them.

Yup. Limping into the barn against a loser like Hitlary is one thing.

"Limping"?  LOL!

Donald Trump, without winning either of the most populated states in the union, California and New York, (we know who they wanted and what they wanted from her) won 306 electoral votes.  That's not limping into the Oval Office @Frank Cannon, that's galloping into the Oval Office!   88devil

We are an itch  a very few, (not all trumpers), maybe 4 people....can't scratch and it is driving them to madness.

Losing the popular vote in a low turnout election is an embarrassment.

Oh, please stop looking to argue with everything positive about Donald Trump.  What this election shows is the extraordinary wisdom of our Founders and authors of our Constitution---the electoral college was a stroke of genius.  Without it, as you know, in today's world only California and New York would select the US President.

Losing the popular vote and winning 306 electoral votes is NOT an embarrassment--it is the very miracle our Founders had in mind.   ^-^

It would be interesting to ask him what he thinks of the EC now.

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

It's amazing, isn't it?  Even if you are willing to put aside reservations about Trump and stand behind his presidency for the good of the nation....some of the more rabid Trump fans are denouncing you for having 'dared' to ever question or diss him.  It's like they don't even care about unity....but care more about keeping the vitriol going.

That's because that anger is all they have, all they have ever had. It's the reason they supported him, and the reason they attacked those who asked for reasons to vote FOR him.
That's particularly sad, and the garbage continued after the votes were in. Unreal, unnecessary, hardly unifying.

@Frank Cannon

I didn't say it wasn't fair and square. I just said it isn't anything I think is bragworthy.

BTW, I am becoming curious why you devout Trumpheads are so Goddam angry after the election. Your guy won. Some of us in the end even voted for the nitwit (My vote was actually real important since I live in PA and he won by thin margins here).

You people are shaping up to have a serious mental disorder over him much like the Obamabots.

Yes, yes he did @Frank Cannon  (You can thank us later)  I'm certainly not angry, Goddam or otherwise.  In fact, I can't stop doing this:

Well you can thank me, you pompous ass, because I voted for him in a state he won the election with. You guys are all angry and vindictive after the fact. I can't get on a thread today without Short Bus Tom, you, et al pointing your bony fingers in peoples faces about your superiority to the non Donny asskissers.

It's high school bullshit.

Oh that's right, I forgot - you people can give two shits about the Constitution or Conservative and moral principles, you were all about the man, because it never mattered that his ideas and behaviors were contrary to the document you pay lip service to.

@Frank Cannon  Some of the mean girls only come out at night to bat those they feel superior to when @mystery-ak is asleep.

I personally thank you for voting for Trump in PA. I know how hard it was to do as I voted for him as well; although not in a state such as yours.

I'm tired of the squabbling over something that is done. We need to get down to business around here and point and laugh at the total and complete meltdown the Rat party is having. I thought they were a riot after '96 and '04, but they have hit an entirely new level of depression because their ranks are now filled with rioters and snowflakes.

@Frank Cannon
Before the election my wife asked me about the EC. I said it was a good thing for a number of reasons, basically allowing smaller states and areas not to be crushed by bigger states/areas.
She said she was against it. She said the popular vote should determine who wins.
But after Trump won she looked at me and said I was right. I had to write that down for posterity that she admitted I was right about something.

I agree with you whole-heartedly.  I don't understand the sniping when there is so much delicious fun to be had right now.  All I can think is that some people enjoy being unhappy.  Not much we can do about those, but the rest of us can drink our fill of Rat tears, savoring every drop.  ;)
"but the rest of us can drink our fill of Rat tears, savoring every drop"

I still don't like or trust Trump even though I voted for him,  but the enjoyment from seeing the misery of Dems and the end of the Clintons did make me exceptionally happy.
