Are Cubans about to turn Florida red again?
By Silvio Canto, Jr.

In 2000, many will tell you that Governor Bush got a big help out of the Elian Gonzalez episode.  It certainly didn't hurt!  He won by less than a 1,000 votes out of 7 million.

In 2012, President Obama beat Governor Romney by less than a point.  I wonder who would have won Florida if Cuban-Americans had known that the Obama administration was having secret talks with Cuba to re-establish relations.

In 2016, Cuba is back in the news again.  The issue is that many of us disagree with the Obama approach toward Cuba, a policy that seems to have benefited the Castro dictatorship at the expense of the Cuban people.

I heard this, the lapdog left-wing media reports polls but they shouldn't be trusted.

Oh... Oh... Oh...

Pick me! I can answer this!

No.
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

Cubans are now able to go to Cuba and visit their relatives.

They can now talk to them on the phone.

While some of the elderly Cubans in Florida do still harbor great resentment against Castro, the majority of Cubans are younger and would like to visit the 'old country' and see their long-lost relatives.

Trying to reimpose the embargo is not a winning measure.
