CNN is reporting that even though, the guy apparently did not have a gun, people thought the accused did have a gun and were even saying "gun" and you could hear them.

Here is the thing, no matter what you think of the person, an attack on the President (or a candidate) is an attack on the US. Not saying it was a true attempt versus a scare, I have no clue. But we are not a third world despot nation where we swap out leaders through lead or rope. We have a Constitutional system to deal with these things.

Hopefully it was just a scare.

The USSS doesn't play those games. They wouldn't allow it to happen even if asked because playing a game like that could be a greater compromise of security.

There's always a possibility...then why do they need armed guards or SS...a gun could have been planted earlier..
