RALEIGH (WTVD) --
A federal judge has ordered local elections boards in North Carolina to restore voters to the rolls after they were purged too close to Election Day.

U.S. District Judge Loretta Biggs issued the ruling Friday after an emergency hearing earlier in the week on NAACP allegations that at least three counties purged voter rolls through a process disproportionately targeting blacks.

Early voting is already underway in the critical swing state, which the NAACP has previously sued over other voter access issues.

The voters' names were removed through challenges filed by activists, which the NAACP said was illegal under federal law less than 90 days before an election.

The NAACP sued earlier this week over thousands of challenges filed in Cumberland, Moore and Beaufort counties.

"This emergency injunction will help make sure not a single voters' voice is unlawfully taken away," said the Rev. William Barber II, president of the North Carolina NAACP. "The NAACP is defending rights of all North Carolinians to participate in this election and we will not back down and allow this suppression to continue. This is our Selma."

I would like to see that law considering that election laws are set by the states - not the federal government.
If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.

"The [U.S.] Constitution is a limitation on the government, not on private individuals ... it does not prescribe the conduct of private individuals, only the conduct of the government ... it is not a charter for government power, but a charter of the citizen's protection against the government."

Voter roll issues cropping up in Penn.

A conservative activist says there's a serious need to clean up the voter rolls in at least three Pennsylvania jurisdictions.

Recently volunteers working for the American Civil Rights Union examined voter registration data from two eastern Pennsylvania counties and the city of Philadelphia. Their efforts revealed that hundreds of voters in those jurisdictions were more than 100 years of age.

Robert Knight, a senior fellow at the ACRU, shared with OneNewsNow a glaring issue found within in the registration data.

"The most shocking finding was something like more than 170 super-centenarians – those are people 110 and older – voting in Pennsylvania in 2012," he describes.

Robert KnightSo why is that a problem? "There are only about 300 super-centenarians all across the United States in a country of 330 million – so this doesn't make sense," he says. "This shows the voter rolls really need to be cleaned up in Pennsylvania."

Knight adds that the ACRU has been pushing for election officials to clean up their voter rolls. "We've sued counties in Mississippi and Texas and Florida – and we're going to sue more because this is a long-term problem," he says.

There's also an indication of problems with voter rolls on the West Coast. FOX News reported Thursday that a California man discovered two stacks of ballots on his mailbox – 83 ballots in all – that were addressed to different people supposedly living in the same two-bedroom apartment.

Knight says it's obvious some election officials haven't been doing their job.

"Knight says it's obvious some election officials haven't been doing their job."

Mr. Knight, respectfully, has it wrong.

Truth be told, those "[some] election officials" -- the democrat ones -- ARE "doing their jobs".

Because, as democrats, their "job" is to lie, cheat, obfuscate, and steal elections wherever possible!
