Donald Trump has jumped to a 14-point lead over Hillary Clinton in Missouri, reflecting a red-state trend of GOP leaning voters "coming home to support their party's nominee," a new poll shows.

In the Monmouth University survey released Tuesday, 52 percent of likely voters support Trump and 38 percent back Clinton — a big surge from his five-point lead of 46 percent to 41 percent over Clinton in October and their near-tie in August, when Trump had 44 percent and Clinton 43 percent.

It can jump in everyplace outside the large metro areas all it wants...but the Libs own places like St. Louis when it comes to voting and the big cities wipe out any gains made in the suburbs.

That's true regardless of who the GOP candidate tends to be as of late.

Happy relying heavily on polling data does two things; it either boosts people's enthusiasm or it knocks the wind out of people's enthusiasm.  It really depends on which side you're on. 

We will know soon enough just how badly America loses.  We lose the Senate; it's not going to matter who wins.  It's over.

Then again, what good has the current GOP Senate been?  The only point they get is that they've held out on confirming Scalia's replacement.  One thing.  Even IF we were to get a good replacement, we were losing all the big battles with Scalia there.  No replacement will do better.

2 reasons we need to hold the Senate.  Justice appointments and impeachment.   With a liberal justice we will lose ALL battles.  With no majority in the Senate there will be no chance of impeachment.  I see these as both critical to keeping our country once the new POTUS is in place.

Not if Congress had a pair of stones between them all. Congress can legislate against the bench, impeach the bench, write clarity into laws the bench has altered.

It is the pussified Congress that allows judicial fiat.
