Has Anybody Seen Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell?
Posted By: Matthew K. Burke October 21, 2016

RINO Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has gone into hiding during the final weeks of the 2016 election and it’s not just the presidency that’s at stake, it’s the United States Senate majority that is currently being held by McConnell and Donald Trump’s Republican Party.

And that majority is at risk of being lost (not that the majority has meant much under McConnell’s feckless leadership anyway, but I digress). One would think that if McConnell cared about losing his party’s majority, he would be out campaigning like a madman for Republicans.

Instead, McConnell is silent, as he always is when tough issues are at task, hiding from the media and voters because he doesn’t want to answer questions about his party’s nominee, Donald Trump, who has been under siege since October 8, since a video was released showing the bloviating billionaire and reality TV star cavalierly boasting about sexually assaulting women and getting away with it because of his celebrity status including the infamous line —

He's gone into his shell.

Waxing poetic.
"The most terrifying force of death, comes from the hands of Men who wanted to be left Alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know, that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Oh I'm sure he's off torpedoing a conservative somewhere. It's a lesser evil.

Given Turtle's popularity with the voters, the absolute best way he can campaign for senators up for re-election is by staying several states away.

  @EC
   The more things change the more they stay the same.

   Ol' Bill came down to Texas in 93 at the behest of Sen. Krueger, at the height of that pesky monica thing and campaigned for my home boy (who I dislike, immensely) and the rest is History, Every other Dem Senator up for reelection, save someone in CA, who also LOST-told Bill to stay the hell away from me.

Krueger was selected by Governor Ann Richards in 1993 to the U.S. Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of four-term incumbent and 1988 Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Lloyd Bentsen, who became Secretary of the Treasury in President Clinton's cabinet. He served from January 21, 1993 until June 14, 1993. Krueger lost the June 1993 special election runoff for the remainder of the term ending January 4, 1995 by a 2-to-1 margin to the popular Texas State Treasurer, Republican Kay Bailey Hutchison. In 2010, Krueger's campaign was named by the same Houston Chronicle article as the single worst in Texas' modern political history.[3]

I imagine Mitch 'Obama's Bitch' McConnell is in hiding as he finds this election too rough and tumble for his delicate, effete, and bipartisan sensibilities.
The Republic is lost.

It's like moderate Senator Cornyn here in Texas, he's never doing anything worth reporting, he's never saying anything of note.

I was very disappointed to find out my Rep Mike Conaway has been shilling for Trump. He was already a C rating on Conservative Reviews scorecard. He seems to have only gone down from there.

@corbe

To be fair,I think most voters actually thought Ryan was an actual conservative.

   I agree totally @sneakypete, but what little credibility he had (that Romney thing), he lost when he bulldogged the Freedom Caucus into voting for him, and those damn fools fell for it.

Especially sense people always post pictures of tortoises not turtles.

Yup. That is correct. Rand has been seen. Matt Bevin has been sighted.... but the turtle remains in his shell.
