One of ours was killed as a kitten by my aging dog.  She had gone into the dog's dish, and the dog nipped at her. Even though the dog's mouth was soft, and it was just a nip, she was just a tiny kitten and didn't survive.

The other got torn apart in a fight, guts hanging out, etc...but survived after lots of care.  She grew up to be the most regal cat...so above it all...polite and could walk across a board game without disturbing a piece.

Then we got Peanut... a wonderful dumb lummox who plowed right through everything.  Later, he became known as "Dozer" for two reasons.  He loved to doze...and he took to pushing things around with his big fat head.
