What?

Assange is a computer whiz propellerhead type and distributes the encrypted files on servers around the world, and the encryption keys are spread out among several people as well.

All he has to do is give the go ahead, and the people give out their portion of the encryption keys and the files can be unlocked.

They can't, they're encrypted on servers I believe.

They can cut off his internet, can't they?

Supposedly they have some protocol that if he doesn't check in every 12 hours they release the encryption keys.

Assange is the mouthpiece and not the repository. To have it all invested in one person would have been fatal, in more ways than one.
