Preparations underway, thousands expected at Trump rally

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Donald Trump is making a campaign stop in Grand Junction on Tuesday and that means all hands on deck.

Law enforcement is preparing and the secret service is in town in preparation for Trump's landing at the Grand Junction Regional Airport on Tuesday afternoon.

Trump's campaign is hoping to rally his Western Slope supporters ahead of Wednesday's debate in Las Vegas.

"We really hope the entire community shares out excitement and our passion,” said Kraig Andrews, Chairman of the Mesa County Republicans.

More than 7,000 people are already registered to attend the rally.
