Could the House really flip?
« on: October 13, 2016, 01:26:47 pm »
By Mike Lillis, Scott Wong and Lisa Hagen - 10/13/16 06:00 AM EDT

House Democrats are thinking the once unthinkable: That they have a real shot at winning the lower chamber next month.

Such a shift would require a robust wave, as the Democrats would need to steal at least 30 seats from the largest Republican majority in decades.

But the implosion of Donald Trump's presidential bid –– and the Republican civil war sparked by his incendiary campaign –– has left the Democrats with fresh new hopes that the GOP nominee will doom the Republicans down-ballot and return the Speaker's gavel to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) after six years in the minority wilderness.

On Wednesday, the Democrats blasted out their first bit of evidence in the form of an internal poll finding that Stephanie Murphy, a Florida Democrat, has taken a two-point lead over Rep. John Mica (Fla.), a 12-term Republican who has endorsed Trump.

There are a lot of Republican canddiates who are supporting Trump only because they find Hillary to be worse.  For that to be acceptable to voters, the case of exactly how bad Hillary is must be made convincingly.  Unfortunately, too many of the people who should be making the case against Hillary are instead making the case against Trump.

I mentioned this elsewhere, but Republicans and conservatives who don't support Trump need to get over their seemingly reflexive need to make that point repeatedly, and instead spend their efforts pointing out how horrible Hillary is.  They don't have to defend Trump, but they also don't have to be complicit in aiding the Democrat narrative that he's so very much worse than Hillary.  For the sake of balance, and to protect what we have in Congress, those efforts should be refocused into reminding voters how terrible a candidate Hillary is.

Unfortunately, it seems to many Republicans/conservatives have taken the bait to make this election about Trump's flaws.

You can tell that the Rats are in all out panic over Trump when they bring out the phony sex scandals. Sadly they have the entire media behind them so instead of talking about Hillary very real crimes we are talking about fake manufactured Trump sex scandals. Hillary as POTUS means the end of the American experiment in constitutional government. We become Mexico or worse with president Hillary.

Anyone feel a wave coming for a loser like Hitlary? No way. This is going to be a low turn out event.

There are record numbers of people that registered to vote this year.

Hispanic registration is through the roof.

Bingo.  That's it in a nutshell; Hispanic registration is through the roof.  Without the Hispanic vote, Trump has little chance of winning FL; without FL he loses.

Why does he want the vote of rapists and murderers?
