True. It's kinda like when Dems stopped trying to hide that they're really socialists. It must be so freeing! < /sarc >

We (NeverTrumpers) were already threatened this morning, right on this very site by a Trump supporter, to go look at what is happening on Paul Ryan's facebook page regarding threats of violence, vile comments towards him and his family, etc, that we should expect that if we continue to oppose Trump.

TIP:

An authoritarian government, or dictatorship, is the very opposite to having "rule of law". If you are controlled by the whim of a strongman, you are not being governed by the rule of law. The rule of law means the government and people know what the law is and are expected to follow it. If a ruler is arresting opponents at will and cracking down on dissenters and doing whatever he wants, then you do not have "rule of law".

It's that simple

Trump and this governor are a threat to our country.

They were not really hiding it to begin with.

It's why we have said Trump is far more dangerous to our Liberties than Hillary is.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

Yup, some of us saw the signs & portents early on, only to be told we were crazy for even suggesting the similarities.

If every candidate was disqualified because he had a supporter say something stupid, there would be nobody left to elect.  This comment reflects poorly on the governor, not on Trump.

He has plenty of his own comments to deal with as it is.

It reflects on Trump because LePage is correct. Trump is an authoritarian which is why he is never held up as a big constitutionalist.

I’ve seen plenty of Trump supporters on TOS and on Twitter, comments on various other sites hoping that Trump will become in essence a dictator. Of course in their minds he’d be their dictator and a benevolent one (well all except for all the treasonous traitors who they think Trump will jail or hang….) I’ve seen them refer to Trump as “Our Pinochet” complete with images of Pepe tossing people (cuckseratives, (((Neo-Cons))), #nevertrump’s, etc.) out of helicopters.

And don’t’ forget that Trump himself has said he’d follow Obama’s lead by issuing executive orders in order to by-pass Congress.

I am in Maine.  I had a pretty good discussion with a few folks today.  They despise Donald Trump and are resigned to the fact that he has thrown the election to Hillary.

And they are right.
