Pence: 'Trump showed that he is a big man' with debate apology

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence said his Christian faith calls him to remain loyal to Donald Trump even after the Manhattan billionaire spend the weekend apologizing for his graphic descriptions in 2005 of sexual assault.

“You know, it takes a big man to know when he is wrong and to admit it and to have the humility to apologize and be transparent and be vulnerable with people and Donald Trump showed that he is a big man,” Pence said at a campaign rally in North Carolina on Monday. “I’m a believer, and my faith informs me that we are to hold up a godly standard and we’re to aspire to live godly lives, but it also informs me we all fall short. We all fall short of the glory of God, and there’s no one righteous other than the one.”

Sexual assault is not "falling short," Pence.  It's a crime.

A big man with 'small hands'  :silly:
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

My personal Christian faith does not require LOYALTY to evil doers.  I think we could easily come up with pages of scriptures that counsels against associating with evil doers.

Sexual assault is not "falling short," Pence.  It's a crime.

I used to say that Hillary belonged in jail and Trump belonged in an asylum.

Now I know that Trump also belongs in prison.

He is a criminal, and a 'debate apology' doesn't absolve his guilt.

As for being a Christian and allowing criminality and perversion to be excused because after the fact Trump said "oops!  I got caught, better say sorry"..... that's as FAR from Christianity as a person can get.

Pence has lost any respect I still had for him with this meaningless pap...........
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I wear a mask as an exercise in liberty and love for others.  To see it as an infringement of liberty is to entirely miss the point.  Be kind.

Use the time God is giving us to seek His will and feel His presence.

You are exactly right.

Pence is yoked with an evil doer, and worse yet, overlooking Trump's criminality and utter disrespect and abuse of women.
