All teens <---- And no, they were not the ones driving the wrong way. The wrong-way driver was in a truck. The police officer was tending to the accident; when "36-year-old Steven Bourgoin stole the cruiser and sped south at a high rate of speed with lights flashing." So, is this Bourgoin, the one who was driving the pickup that crashed into the car? That is what I'm led to believe happened though the story does not make it clear.
Vermont: Wrong-way driver kills 5 in interstate 89 crash
WILLISTON, Vt. -
A horrific crash and crime has left multiple people dead, according to Vermont State Police.
Police say the crash involved a wrong-way driver and a stolen police cruiser. Police say it all began just before midnight when they received a 911 call that a truck was heading north in the southbound land on Interstate 89 in the Bolton area.
State Police say a car with five teenagers inside was hit by the wrong-way driver's truck and burst into flames, killing all of the teens. A Williston Police Department officer was the first to arrive on the scene and ran towards the scene. The officer pulled a female victim from the engulfed vehicle, and as he was attempting to put out the fire, State Police say 36-year-old Steven Bourgoin stole the cruiser and sped south at a high rate of speed with lights flashing.

It must be gut-wrenching for those poor families, my prayers and thoughts. Many of us have possibly seen wrong-way drivers, I certainly did once, driving on the wrong side of the free way late on a Friday/Saturday night.
