Priebus, Conway cancel Sunday shows appearances

Following a day of high-profile Republicans disavowing and condemning Donald Trump in the wake of a controversial tape where he makes light of sexual assault, the GOP nominee's campaign manager and the Republican National Committee chairman have canceled all appearances on the Sunday news shows.

Kellyanne Conway, Trump's campaign manager, was to appear on "Fox News Sunday" and NBC's "Meet The Press," but has been replaced with former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, an avid Trump backer.

RNC chairman Rience Priebus was also to appear on CBS’s "Face the Nation," but was replaced by Giuliani. CBS said Trump's campaign "wanted a campaign person" to appear on the show. Priebus was also set to speak on ABC's "This Week." Giuliani is appearing instead.

Both Priebus and Conway are frequent guests on Sunday morning news shows.

Priebus disavowed Trump's comments on a tape that was first released by the Washington Post on Friday. Trump has since offered an apology for the comments.

Reince Priebus and all of the RNC should be out of a job yesterday for having let this insane clown take over and destroy the GOP. All of these things were already known about Trump - I was living in NYC during his ugly divorces, and all they had to do was consult the NY Post for the gruesome details - and simply for their malfeasance in not vetting him, Priebus and the gang should be out if a job. But for permitting and abetting the moral, philosophical and political collapse of the GOP, I can't even think of a punishment severe enough. Their actions will affect the life of the country (negatively) for years to come.

Trump lost votes, both male and female. His bootlickers can deny it all they want. Thats why they are in panic mode and trying the "It's just about sex' defense.

People who may have been on the fence arent gonna break to his side in any large numbers. So after alienating them, conservatives and women, I don't see where their confidence comes from. I do see where their panic comes from though.

I'm not so sure that women will flock to Hillary over this, but it may cause some not to vote which would be a disaster for any chance of trying to retain our majority in the Senate.

For me, this doesn't change my plans to vote 3rd party it only reinforces that I am making the correct decision.
