Ted Cruz is considering rescinding his reluctant endorsement of Donald Trump, according to multiple reports.

A Ted Cruz aide confirmed the talk to ABC News, and a source gave similar intel to CNN.

BuzzFeed News reported that the Cruz camp said there's "nothing to share right now."

Trump earned a hard-fought endorsement from Cruz about two weeks ago. The Texas senator said the Supreme Court and other policy issues superseded his own personal disagreements with Trump.

In the wake of leaked audio of Trump's lewd comments about women, Cruz tweeted Friday that the remarks were "disturbing and inappropriate."

What is taking him so damned long?  He is too calculating by half, and that just ends up making him look bad.  He should have dis-endorsed Trump last night or this morning.

Yes, he'd better do it before Trump drops out.  Things are unraveling pretty fast now.

Cruz looks like a coward. After all those who've withdrawn support today, and he STILL can't bring himself to unendorse?

He's forfeited any support he once deserved.  He's nothing but a cold, calculating poltical opportunist.

I'm told it's under consideration that @tedcruz might revoke his endorsement of @realDonaldTrump.

He always did.  More's the pity.  He would have been a stellar president.

Trump has made it very clear that he is not dropping out.  Cruz has already come and publicly stated that he disapproves of his comments.  I think he should publicly ask Trump to step down, but before he does, ask him to apologize to his wife!!

But it's the first step to getting the stink off your shoe.

Too bad he didn't have enough sense to not step in it, in the first place.

Not true.  But you never liked him.

No.  I have never liked him.

Trump trashed Cruz's own wife and father, yet Cruz endorsed him, but Trump speaking ill of somebody else's wife is a bridge too far?

What the hell?
