WHIP LIST: Republicans breaking with Trump
« on: October 08, 2016, 08:28:15 pm »
This list is growing larger by the minute.

Quote
GOP lawmakers and elected officials are abandoning presidential nominee Donald Trump in droves just one month before Election Day after audio emerged of him making sexually obscene remarks about groping women.

Here is a list of Republicans who have either rescinded their endorsements from Trump or are calling on him to withdraw from the ticket entirely:

John McCain is now out.

I'm firmly in the SMoD 2016 camp, but any candidate panned by McCain does get a small boost in my book.

He's done - stick a fork in him.

Folks on TOS (Trump "pom pom" site, as Mark Levin calls it) are deep in denial.

While it's true that the old peepers aren't what they used to be when I was more youthful, I could have sworn that read "Trump porn porn site" when I first saw it. Now, as to why I would associate Trump with something so sleazy, I have no idea.  :nometalk:

Not good for Mr Trump.

This brings back to the days when Goldwater and the GOP pressured Nixon to resign.

I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Two sleazy candidates face off later today Sunday debate.   Running neck and neck sleazy.

If we have to dive into the New York sewer for a President let it be Hillary.  Republicans should wash the sewer off their shoes.

AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

"That's a nice list of folks there.  It would be a shame if anything happened to them."  (probable future statement by Hillary's Captain of the Jackbooted Thugs Brigade, Donald Trump.

But Nixon was far more honorable than Trump.

He did what was right for the country.

Trump never, ever will.
Character still matters.  It always matters.

I think Alexander Hamilton expressed the same sentiment a bit more eloquently when a similar situation arose early in the history of the Republic:

“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his [or her] foolish and bad measures.”

And when they behead your own people in the wars which are to come, then you will know what this was all about.
