Melania Trump urges voters to accept GOP nominee's apology

Melania Trump on Saturday said she was offended by her husband's sexually aggressive comments about women but that she hoped the American voters would forgive him.

"The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me," Melania Trump said in a statement. "This does not represent the man that I know. He has the heart and mind of a leader. I hope people will accept his apology, as I have, and focus on the important issues facing our nation and the world."

The GOP nominee was caught on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women, claiming he could because he was a celebrity. The revelation has put his campaign and the entire party in crisis as Republicans begin to call for their nominee to step down just 30 days until Election Day.
