As Fuller's thread should have been stickied at the top, so should this one. This thread will not smack of pornography, ego, adulation of certain teams while smearing others, or cowardly attacks behind the protection of a computer.

Thanks, Tom. I deleted the other one mainly because there weren't any posts. But as long as there's interest, we can keep doing it this way.

I'm a big Dallas fan, how bout dem Boys!
As a Missouri resident, Go Buffalo or whoever plays the Rams!
And go Seattle...Seriously, the other teams in their division are two teams that screwed over Missouri and the 49ers.  So I'm cheering for the Seahawks to make the playoffs!

This is oddly the second time St. Louis has had their team basically stolen from them in a hostile takeover.

Back in the early 90s, they had a deal to bring the New England Patriots to St. Louis, where it'd become the Stallions. The owner was tied to Anheuser Busch. But Bob Kraft locked the team into a lease on his stadium and used it to basically force the owner to turn over the team to him.

St. Louis then got the Rams when both they and the Raiders left L.A. at the same time, but then when owner Georgia Frontiere died, Stan Kroenke used the same hostile takeover strategy (this time by sneaking in as a minority owner while Frontiere was still alive) to prevent Dave Checketts (with or without Rush Limbaugh) from buying the team. (Technically, because he owned other sports teams in Denver, he wasn't even allowed to control an NFL team.) He paid lipservice to keeping the team in Missouri, and lots of people believed him, but the NFL wanted L.A. back badly, and Kroenke, who held land there and was married into the Wal-Mart fortune, willingly obliged.

They got jobbed.

I lived in St. Louis when Bidwill moved the Cardinals to Arizona. Terrible as the Cardinals always were during their time in St. Louis - and they were awful -  the fans still were verklempt over their absence.

Falcons defeated Broncos, an upset, if just a minor one, Bills won, 3 wins 2 losses and 3 straight wins, Cowboys walloped Cincinnati, so maybe the Cowboys can finally get into a playoff run that has eluded them since the salary cap took full effect in the mid-90s,  Raiders win, 4-1 for the first time since 2002 they said.

Packers winning, they have a tough schedule, very dominant in recent years, from 1970-1995 though, it was tough times in the Packer-nation.  True Wisconsinites kept the faith.

Browns are 0-4; that franchise just can't get it going; kind of sad when once upon a time, they were real competitors, year in and year out.

There is no way that the Cowboys can bench Prescott for Romo. Romo had 4 pre-season plays and hasn't practiced with the team since. It would be complete idiocy to bench Dak for Romo right now.

Tony Romo should be checking into his job prospects as a color commentator.
