Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Donald Trump was “a gentleman” for holding back a verbal onslaught on former President Bill Clinton’s extramarital affairs during the first prime-time showdown between Trump and Hillary Clinton.

“I’m very proud that at the very end when she attacked and went off on this whole rant about women — and you could see his face — in the Republican primary, he would have just smashed her,” Gingrich told Sean Hannity on Thursday on the Fox News commentator’s radio program, which was first reported by BuzzFeed.

Hillary Clinton’s allies have said that if Trump decides to dredge up the 1990s indiscretions, it will backfire on the New York businessman.

TAB PROBES CLINTON LOVE-CHILD RUMOR

Re-Surfaced Sex Allegation Could Be Hillary Clinton’s BIGGEST NIGHTMARE

Buddy Young, a former Arkansas State Trooper, has admitted that in 1983, he drove Clinton and Bobbie to her mother’s home near Hot Springs for an extended, intimate visit while the mother was out-of-town. Both were paid $400 each, plus a $50 tip.

What a gentleman Trump is! It's kinda like that time he said that he could call Megyn Kelly a bimbo for posing for alluring photographs but decided not to. Who can't appreciate his gentlemanly restraint in such incidents?  :silly:

(Hey Newtie! You have a few adulterous skeletons in your closet, too, don't you? I'd say your eagerness to heap kudos on Trump for this is two-fold for you ... if you get my drift.)

is a government big enough to take away everything you have.

He didn't bring it up because it would be the ultimate pot calling the kettle black issue.

Trump doesn't really have a moral high ground on the issue when he bragged he had more affairs than Hugh Hefner (that comparison came from Trump on Howard Stern) and that avoiding STDs was his personal Vietnam. That at least one of his children was with a wife who was a former mistress and the current wife was the mistress while he was with his second wife...

It wasn't being a gentleman that he didn't go there..

Nootie, three wives, ultimate cheater during the monica chronicles.........and then there is Rudy, another serial cheater belonging to the three wives club.  And of course, there is Donald little hands, cheating on at least two of his wives, married three times.

The idea of Newt Gingrich telling us anything about the proper etiquette surrounding discussion of extramarital affairs is a bit difficult to take seriously.
