Well this is a little awkward. With the leaked 1995 Trump tax returns 'scandal' focused on the billionaire's yuuge "net operating loss" and how it might have 'legally' enabled him to pay no taxes for years, we now discover none other than Hillary Rodham Clinton utilized a $700,000 "loss" to avoid paying some taxes in 2015.

The Clinton Campaign was quick to jump on the leaked Trump tax filing with Robby Mook tweeting.

And Hillary following up, adding Trump "apparently got to avoid paying taxes for nearly two decades—while tens of millions of working families paid theirs."

However, a look back at Hillary Clinton's tax returns from 2015 (here), proudly displayed by the campaign proving she has nothing to hide - shows something awkward on page 17...

Quote
While not on the scale of Trump's business "operating loss", Hillary Clinton - like many 'wealthy' individuals is taking advantage of a legal scheme to use historical losses to avoid paying current taxes.

As Bloomberg notes, this federal tax break is among the wealthy's most used avoidance schemes...

Those 1.1 million folks in the 1 percent, as measured by the TPC, have annual income that averages a little less than $700,000. The top one-tenth of that group, some 110,000 households, average about $3.6 million, according to Howard Gleckman, a senior fellow at the TPC.2

The middle of the pack, some 33 million people, have pretax income ranging from $45,000 to $80,000. The lowest one-fifth of taxpayers, a universe of about 47 million Americans, have income up to about $24,000.

Among the biggest of these givebacks, courtesy of the Internal Revenue Service (well, really Congress), are capital gains and dividends—these are the biggest way the wealthiest benefit.

In the words of Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, "this bombshell report reveals [Hillary Clinton's] past business failures... and may show just how long [Hillary Clinton] may have avoided paying taxes."

Oh, of course they did and they were genius!  And Bill was a genius to get away with his pedophile trips with Jeffrey Epstein the same way Trump has also.  I would say no difference.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

If only it was an option in TX, He's not on my Ballot, so I'm torn between writing you in, @XenaLee  or @Frank Cannon or I could prove @unknown right and vote for the hildabeast just to pi$$ him off, my vote doesn't matter, even Trump said so.

LOL, what a jerk.

You want a well-greased politician, then let Hillary win. That is what you are doing. Trump is a businessman. He is going to make mistakes.

The founding fathers did not want well-greased politicians like you do. They wanted businessmen that were willing to give up their business for a while to serve their country.

@unknown That's a good point and a much overlooked one.

There was a time when citizens served in government then went back to being citizens.

Trump is a throwback in that regard but gets little or no credit for it.

Because he's a self-serving ahole.  He's not in this to serve his country, but to feed his ego.

Most of those "citizens" who served in government knew some basic political philosophy and history.

Trump knows neither.  He's the most ignorant candidate in the last hundred years.

You are the weakest person on this board.

You have him beat by far.  Your comments are as weak as Trumps promises "believe me".  Trump is in it to feed his ego.  Did you hear his court deposition as to why the Hispanic chef would not open his restaurant in Trumps building.  Why would he do that was the question.  Trumps answer I don't know.  I am running for president.  I beat all of these other people in the primaries so what I said couldn't be that bad............

I haven't seen a personal post from you that you actually had to think about. Usually one liner insults.  It is easy to see how you think Trump so great.  Trump hasn't said anything of substance either.

You are the weakest person on this board.

Your opinion (the opinion of someone now browbeating conservatives for not voting for the GOP candidate in 16, who now demands others vote for the GOP candidate in 16, Yet refused to vote for Romney in 12). Tha'd be YOU in case anyone missed it. And lets not overlook Trump being the weakest candidate the GOP could have run. But he HAS set records for his unpopularity. Which greatly...trumps...anyone posting on a forum in the big scheme of things.

Side note:"Trump" and "scheme" in the same sentence. Remarkable how easily they fit together.

The two things aren't mutually exclusive, especially for job of POTUS.

People who question Trumps desire to serve are misguided.

Just damn, I thought that was an option in Texas. I will NEVER vote for Hillary, and I can't vote for Trump...he cannot be allowed within a football field of the nuclear football.

If the Democrats had run a viable candidate against Kenny Marchant, I would vote for her, but her website mouthed moldy platitudes that turned me off. It used to be that CPAs were conservative, particularly about government spending...not anymore.

LOL, I'm reminded of how my accounting professor in college would toss friendly jibes my way, as I was his only student in ROTC. I laughed with him, because I knew what he was talking about, i.e. how our government wastes money. Having him as a professor for over 30 hours was a big part of how unique my college experience was. As a sophomore, you feared him...as a junior, you respected him...as a senior, you loved him.

People who question Trumps desire to serve are misguided.

All politicians have egos.  Trump's irrelevant and misguided wee hours Twitter meltdown aimed at a Miss Universe from 20 years ago proves, *again*, that he cares more for his own ego than he cares for the Republican party or for the country.

His "desire to serve" is a figment of your imagination.  His desire is for the adulation of the crowd.  That's why his "debate preparation" is to continue speaking in front of pep rallies.  He can't even bring himself to shut up and study for a few days in order to win the presidency of the United States.

Service of any kind requires at least a modicum of discipline.  Service means doing something you might not want to do, in order to benefit someone else.  Trump has demonstrated exactly zero propensity to do anything he doesn't want to do.

@SamHouston Does it pain you to know that Texas will deliver Trump's biggest slice of electoral votes on election night?

Trump could have gotten out in front of this story, but he was too dense.

If only the media would focus just 10 percent of the time they spend on Trump's finances and spend it on the Clinton Crime Foundation.

Now THAT would be something. Trump's financial shenanigans pale in comparison to the grifting Clintons.

@Longmire I think you are talking to me although you have my name backwards.

I have no problem with Texas delivering the largest slice of Trump's electoral pie on election night.  I have done what I can to help make Texas a red state with my votes, and the prospect of a Hillary victory gives me little hope for the future of the country.

Does it pain you consistently to fail in making any relevant point to the discussion, as in this reply to me?  Or do you actually think that either candidates' taxes are logically related to your delusions about Trump's fictional "desire to serve" or to the demographics in Texas?
