Duke University is famous for its science and engineering programs, as well as its dominance in college basketball.

Now, it may also become known as a great place for men to gather and contemplate why they’re such horrible people.

The Duke Men’s Project, launched this month and hosted by the campus Women’s Center, offers a nine-week program for “male-identified” students that discusses male privilege, patriarchy, “the language of dominance,” rape culture, pornography, machismo and other topics.

The student newspaper’s editorial board endorsed the new program yesterday, insisting it was “not a reeducation camp being administered by an oppressed group in the service of the feminization of American society.”

But it’s easy to see why they felt the need to defend against such concerns.

Junior Dipro Bhowmik, who sits on the leadership team, recently said the goal of the Duke Men’s Project is for male students to “critique and analyze their own masculinity and toxic masculinities to create healthier ones.

=====================================================================================================================

Look at the names and bios of the staff that came up with this program to "help those delicate little meterosexual semi-male flowers bud and transform into something good,like a woman". None seem to be Americans by birth or culture.

WHY does no one stand up to this insanity?

I thought I contemplated my masculity at the gym, gun range, and steak house already? I don't need another place...
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

@bolobaby

NOT an attack on you or anyone else,but I never even contemplated my masculinity,or felt the need to either apologize or brag about it. Men are masculine for very good reasons,and women are feminine for very good reasons,all having to do with the survival of the species.

If anyone knows of anything more important than the survival of humanity,please educate me.

Oh no, the worst thing of all is the survival of humanity. Human beings are terrible. They kill animals and plants just to eat them and drive SUVs. We all deserve to die, especially men (and those who identify as men, apparently).

My apologies for forgetting those important points. I grew up in the 50's,and will forever be culturally and socially backwards.

Please excuse me as I go out into the yard and eat worms,taking great care to make sure they are all oppressive male worms.
