Airport Gets Over $1M in Taxpayer Funds for 800 Feet of Taxiway
(CNSNews.com) - U.S. Senators Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand recently announced $1,005,892 of taxpayer money from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) will be used to design and reconstruct 800 feet of the existing taxiway pavement for the Greater Rochester International Airport.
“All together within the past 60 days the Rochester airport has received over $5.8 million in new federal investments,” a press release [1] from Schumer’s office says.
