You said:  "Trump thinks 12 year old Hilton is hot."

The author said: "This from the man who looked at a twelve year old Paris Hilton and thought, that’s hot."

The article quotes Trump as saying she was "beautiful" (at 12) and "hot[ter]" when she was roughly 24 (with no indication that "hotter" relates to when she was 12).

He sure wasn't saying you have a beautiful daughter as a polite compliment.   Imagine the scene.  Who the hell is that!  He was sizing her up and saying of course at twelve he wasn't interested.  Just to have mentioned it shows the difference between polite beautiful daughter and if she wasn't twelve I would be interested.  BTW that is very close to what he said about his own daughter.  If she wasn't his daughter he might be dating her.

“I’ve known Paris Hilton from the time she’s twelve, her parents are friends of mine,” he added. “And the first time I saw her she walked into the room and I said, ‘Who the hell is that?’ At twelve, I wasn’t interested…but she was beautiful.

I think Trump was definitely looking at the then 12-year-old Paris Hilton as a sexual object even if recognizing that at 12-years-old, he wouldn’t be or shouldn't admit to being “interested”.

But for context, in the Howard Stern show appearance Trump and Stern were discussing the “hotness” of various women and whether or not Trump would “bang” them, if they were “bangable” or not.

Trump tells Stern that one of the women he thought was very beautiful (and again in context, on the hotness and on the bang worthy scale) was Paris Hilton, then age 22.

Trump - “I've known Paris Hilton from the time she's 12.”

Stern - “She’s hot.”

Trump - “Her parents are friends of mine and the first time I saw her she walked into a room and I said, ‘Who the hell is that?”

Stern - “Did you want to bang her?”

Trump – “She's a very ... Well, at 12 I wasn't interested. I've never been into that. They've sort of always stuck around that 25 category.”

Imagine you have a friend over to your house and your 12-year-old (TWELVE) daughter walks into the room and your friend and guest says to you “Who the hell is that? Wow she is beautiful but since she’s only 12 I’m not really interested, but she is beautiful”.

Do you respond by saying?:

A - I think so too and in fact if she wasn’t my daughter I might be dating her. (As Trump has said of Ivanka on several occasions.)

B - Yes, but it’s too early to tell if she inherited her mother’s big boobs. (As Trump said of his then infant daughter Tiffany, wondering if his daughter will inherit Marla’s ample cleavage.)

C- Get the hell out of my house you pervert before I punch you in the face!

As to Trump and Melania watching the Paris Hilton sex tape Trump said:

“I think it's probably unfortunate and it made Paris hotter in terms of the world because the world is so screwed up,” Trump explained, before comparing the heiress' situation to actor Hugh Grant’s 1995 scandal involving a prostitute. “I mean, you think a thing like that is going to destroy, like Hugh Grant who I love. I think he's great. He's a member of my golf club. You would have think he would have been destroyed by what happened to him and he's the biggest star now than he ever was, so you never know what happens but I think it probably made Paris even better.”

So in Trump’s opinion, Paris Hilton’s sex tape made her even better and ended up being a good career move for her.  Machado’s?  Not so much.

Not to mention that Trump lied about there being a “sex tape” of Machado.

And Trump can’t really criticize Machado for posing topless in Playboy, can he, since he seems to love Playboy and even appeared as himself in one of their videos and on the cover of the mag.

I also don’t think Machado ever did full frontal nudity nor posed for a nude lesbian themed photo shoot like say Trump’s current wife.

Will evangelicals care?

The question is, who gets here first? methmom, harleyunladylikeiqunder27, miss marmelstink . . . the list goes on. And let's not forget the latent homosexuals there now that Trump is their home boy.

@goodwithagun

That's right...I remember a male over there saying he was as in love with Trump as he could be.

Dang, that's a hard question, though.  There's also hoosiermama, who can give you chapter and verse about Trump's grandfather's best friend's cousin when he was a child.  I told her once that I hoped she never met Trump because she might rush him with an armload of roses.

But my money is on a tie between onyx, admirer of his soft hands and beautiful skin, and Guenevere, who seems to be totally besotted.

@kevindavis

That's over and done with.  In nominating Trump and justifying every sleazy thing he's ever done, even down to appearing in a softcore porn flick, evangelicals (of whom I count myself one), and indeed the GOP, have forfeited the issue of morals and values.

John Podhoretz just tweeted that Trump tried to pimp out Marla Maples, his second (I think) wife, as a Playboy nude.

Will Catholics care?
Will Mainline Protestants care?
Will Hindus care?
Will Muslims care?

I note some bias in your question?

Catholics, Mainline Protestants, Hindus, and Muslims are not supporting Trump.

"Trump himself was on the phone negotiating the fee," remembers a top Playboy editor. "He wanted [Marla] to do the nude layout. She didn't."

A google search pulled this up...and it says Marla was his girlfriend at the time, with whom he was cheating on Ivanka.

The story is confirmed by Trump's P.R. man.

Mainline Protestants are leftwingers and don't believe the Bible is true. At least, that's the official position of some of those mainline denominations. That's one of many reasons my husband and I left the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. I don't presume to speak for Catholics, Hindus or Muslims, however.

If traffic to TBR spikes suddenly, it'll be Freeper women who heard about this and are stampeding each other to get to the link.

I went 'there' yesterday.  A couple of women made extremely mild protests.  One said, I so wish he wouldn't do this.'  The other said something equally innocuous.

They were brutalized by the evil forces over there.  If I could still post, I would send them a PM inviting them over here.

Definitely.  Guenevere, too...she's got it bad.

I would so love to post this to Harley ... she is really obnoxious.  I wonder if her looks would meet The Donald's standard.  She'd better not be overweight, old or ugly.

Well, it seems to be what a lot of folks here want to read.

Honestly, what is rapidly become the most depressing thing about this election is not that Trump got the GOP nomination, but watching how the side I though was the more intellectually honest and principled has devolved into people thinking a story like this is worthwhile.  I don't know what happened.  Maybe the understandable dislike of Trump has triggered an emotional need to trash anything related to him, but it adds absolutely nothing to any substantive discussion.  It's like the cool kids all sitting around thinking up clever ways to mock the kid they don't like.  It's become "hey look at what I found out about Trump!  Isn't this awesome?"

I'm not a fan of Trump either, but this is just garbage.  And I think that if the conservative movement is destroyed, it won't be Trump that does it.  It will be conservatives themselves.

It is depressing but don't blame conservatives ... well, okay blame the element of conservatives who managed to get this clown nominated.

But what you don't understand is that this is ALL on Donald.

First he was a sexist, racist jerk to a Very young Miss Universe winner.  But that might be forgotten if he had dealt with it like a grownup.

Hillary was able to slip it into the debate after the Mod mentioned things Trump had called Hillary.
She made a nice shot under his ribs to what would be his heart if he had one.

He went into blabber mode but he couldn't stand the rage it created in him.  He thought about it all night and got up at 3 AM to tweet about it.  His tweets were defense of his remarks because 'she deserved them.'

Sickening as this whole fiasco is, it is all on Trump .  Nobody else.

He could have defused the situation completely with a gentle, rueful smile after which he would claim youth and over-enthusiastic role in the pageant.  He could have said that his remarks were unkind and he deeply regretted them.  And then he could have refused to discuss it again.

But ... but ... that's not the Donald, is it?

And it's not conservatives either.

I daresay.....that by the time this fiasco of an election is over.....the Trump supporters are going to only wish that Trump drinks.  It's the only excuse that might be plausible (to them) for his 'bad and getting even worse' behavior.   At least after a drunken tweet rampage, he could claim temporary insanity...and that he can't remember....lolol.

One has to wonder why the man wouldn't shut up about the Machado woman's past when his own wife has the history she does.

He's either incredibly stupid or he's deluded into believing his wife is immune to such critique.  Either way, he's an hypocritical idiot.

There are MANY Catholics supporting him, even right on this very forum.  Don't hang it all on the group you hate.  Protestants too.  Hindus, don't know.  Muslims, probably not but for other reasons.  There are plenty of evangelicals not supporting Trump.  It's offense to us when you make comments like that.  It's also biased.
Of course, and I quite agree. None of us here should presume to speak for a group of which we've never been a part, nor should we make such broad generalizations.
