Lester Holt has been lambasted on social media with accusations he favored Hillary Clinton following Monday night's presidential debates.

Some allegations against the NBC moderator included that he frequently interrupted Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and went easy on Clinton.

Even Trump himself implied that he was disappointed the topics of Clinton's foundation, emails and Benghazi scandal were never raised.

In an infographic, Vox.com noted Trump was interrupted by Holt when he was speaking 30 times and he stopped Clinton only 19 times.

It's obvious that the Birther story was concocted by those connected to the Clinton campaign but damn the truth.

Little talk on the border, maybe nothing and Clinton wants to legalize aliens? And items like that.

@TomSea So Trump didn't talk about the birther issue long before the campaign?

Trump kept the birther story going for SIX YEARS.  He even mentioned it after he announced for president.

He can kiss those black votes goodbye.

In a pig's eye is Lester a Republican.

I wondered if Trump should have done like Cruz and say something like the MSM is biased, remember when he severely corrected them those times? Trump should have done something like that, Holt was such a Democrat Sycophant.

We all knew the moderator would go after Trump and go easy on Hillary. Plus I think Hillary had the questions ahead of time.  In some ways, it wasn't a good thing. It ends up making Hillary look weak because she wasn't challenged. She doesn't get a chance to get out those great spontaneous lines that make sound bites.

Holt was very helpful to Hitlery who presented with a new persona last night- not that she needed his help. She baited him and he went down the rabbit hole, played defense, when he should have hit her on her many vulnerabilities.

Correct! Trump should have known he would receive no softball questions.  It was his responsibility to bring up Benghazi, immigration and by all means.... THE WALL!!  Heh, but no he spent the majority of his time getting sucked into meaningless side issues and creating incomprehensible word salads.

Okay, agree. But what do debating skills have to do with being an effective president?

The country is tired of professional politicians who debate "real good." We need real people whose real life experiences are in the real world of business, commerce and trade – the real world of real people, not these politicians who only know politics, and giving the business to WE THE PEOPLE in smokey back rooms of Washington DC.

We're not here to pick a debater. We're interested in people who inhabit our world and have good judgment. Donald Trump has that, Hillary doesn't (just list all her failings in policy, in sos performance, in incompetency and corruption here).

And for these reasons, average people were unimpressed with Hillary Clinton's mastery of practiced debate prep.

Mr. Trump will see a bump in his polling numbers as the dust settles.

It's not about debate skills.  It's about knowledge, competence, and temperament.  Trump showed last night a failure in all three.

Debates historically do not have much influence- it remains to be seen if that is the case this year. In the next debate Trump should resist her baiting him and stay focused on her corruption. Since the media is all in for her, Trump needs to bring up her email server, her failed policies that destabilized the ME, and her influence peddling.

He spent way too much time defending himself about whether he supported the Iraq war, when all he had to say was,  "I was a private citizen at the time and had no input into that war, but you, Hillary, voted for the war. Let's talk about your lack of judgment in the ME."
