I am/was a Cruz supporter...I am not upset with his endorsement today..I think we all knew he was going to do it before the election, it was just a matter of when...we have no idea what went on behind the scenes for Trump to get this endorsement...I am sure some deal was struck.

This is politics and it is not for the feint of heart as they say...this is the least of our worries right now.

Same here.  He has his reasons... and being right there in the thick of this political disaster, he's in a position to know far more than we do right now.  Suffice to say, I will continue to respect Cruz and support him, but I made my decision based on sound reasoning re: Trump and his behavior on the last day of the convention.  I will not be changing my vote.
No quarter given to the enemy within...ever.

@CatherineofAragon

I thought you would be one to throw Cruz under the bus. Every time Cruz made a decision to do "x" in the Senate, he had a good reason although some or most couldn't understand it. His mind is sharper than most people's mind and he knows what he is doing.  I don't second guess what he does because I don't know what his plan is - I just know the plan is the right one and we don't yet know it.

If he were of normal intelligence I might question what he does, but he is brilliant and thinks on a higher plane than most.  I am giving him freedom in my mind to do what he must to carry out his plan for now and in the future.  Perhaps later when you understand what he is doing, you can drag him out from under the bus.   :patriot:

Well, you can call it throwing him under the bus if you like, but if you check out social media, his supporters believe that's what he did to them.  I just checked Steve Deace's twitter timeline...he said it's worse than he thought it would be and in fact Ted's organization is in shambles right now.  Deace and Erick Erickson have been deluged with negative feedback from Cruzers.

I don't hate him or dislike him, but he's given up his principled stand and I'm done with him.  That won't change.

The reaction you see is all the more reason to know he had to do what he did - he knew this reaction would happen but it had to be done FOR A SIGNIFICANT REASON or he wouldn't have done it.  I will wait to see what happens.

It isn't really an endorsement.  it's a conquest.  Trump wins.

Told GOP fundraising caller to tell Trump to F himself.  That goes double now.
I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

If I were Heidi Cruz I would get myself to a divorce attorney right about now.

Years ago, men protected the honor of their spouses, even to death.  Cruz went limp like a noodle.
