Donald Trump's recent rise in the polls has prompted Democrats to go into panic mode.

Carrying the subject line "5 STATES LOST," an email from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee asks supporters to donate to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

"BREAKING: 5 STATES LEAVE CLINTON COLUMN," the email reads.

"We can’t believe this is happening:

"FIVE states have moved from 'Lean Hillary' to toss ups or lean Trump!!!"

The message then lists the five states in question: Ohio and Iowa, which are now leaning toward Trump, according to the poll numbers used for the email, and Florida, Nevada, and North Carolina, which are all tied.

"This is what losing looks like. And we’re running out of time to fix it.

"We have to shut down Trump NOW — or he and his Republicans will win everything!!!"

The email then asks supporters to donate money by clicking on various amounts listed.

RealClear Politics lists all five states mentioned above as toss ups, according to its latest polling information.

It never occurred to me to donate to any presidential candidate.  Why do people take their hard-earned money and fork it over to such a worthless enterprise?

Let's see:  Do I give this money to Hillary or use it to save a dog's life?
