Trump and the Medal of Honor Recipients
« on: September 18, 2016, 03:22:18 pm »
So Friday Trump trotted out fourteen Medal of Honor recipients in Washington, D.C. who all endorsed him.  He then went on to backtrack on birtherism, not that anyone believes him, but the whole point of the exercise was to punk the press and show off heroes.

But does Trump really believe that?  One of the recipients was Colonel Leo Thorsness, Air Force officer and the only F-105 pilot to down a North Vietnamese airplane in a dogfight.  Reading the details of the mission he was awarded the Medal of Honor for then one can hardly argue that Thorsness is not a hero.  But less than two weeks later he was shot down and spent 6 years in a North Vietnamese prison camp.

Since Trump has made it clear in the past that he likes people who were not captured then does he consider Thorsness a real hero?  Or just a hero because Thorsness has endorsed Trump?

Trump is using them as props, not giving them props. Anything to get the lenses to point in his direction. ABAMA (Another Big Assed Mistake America).

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

If you're so cynical, why do you follow politics? It is nothing but a dog and pony show regardless the candidate.

I'm a taxpayer. It's nice to know what sort of manure we're going to have to sweep up--horse crap or dog crap?
