Shortly after news broke of his connections to radical Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, London's firstly elected Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan has called on migrants to not assimilate into Western culture.

During his visit to the United States, Khan has largely pushed a pro-Hillary message, blasting her Republican opponent Donald Trump for "playing into the hands" of ISIS. On the issue of migrants flowing into the West, Khan told reporters that he rejects the idea of them giving up their cultures to adapt to the new one:
