JAILED: Asylum-seeker guilty of vile sex assault after Lib Dem MP battled for him to stay
AN asylum seeker was jailed yesterday for 30 months for a sex attack committed after he was saved from deportation.

Sivarajah Suganthan was jailed at Bristol Crown Court
Sivarajah Suganthan, 31, waited until a young woman at a night shelter fell asleep, then pulled down her underwear and assaulted her in St Paul’s, Bristol.
He initially denied committing the crime but confessed on the day he was due to go on trial and pleaded guilty at Bristol Crown Court.
Suganthan came to England in 1999 aged 14. His asylum claim was refused in 2003.
