Hate to say it, but I came on here looking for a fight....
« on: September 01, 2016, 09:21:09 pm »
I'm sick. Sick to death of this all. We've been bitching and moaning about getting a conservative in office FOREVER! We had a chance with Cruz. Luck of the draw, we had too many people in the race and it diluted support. And now we're looking at either Trump or Hillary.

And, damned if those of us who have questions about Trump aren't villified! Treated as though we'd rather have Hillary! Oh, what posh! What putrid, small-minded posh!

You people; you Trump sycophants: Hear this! We don't disagree with some of the things he says. We just don't BELIEVE him! EVERYONE wants a wall! EVERYONE wants Muslims out!

Do you not get that we want that, too?!!

But...OMG! You will not allow that Trump has flaws. You will not allow that we're seriously worried about him. Some of us feel that the stuff he says he'll do  will seriously undermine our republic and our freedom and our liberty.

Anyone that offers a criticism of Trump is excoriated by Trump supporters....no matter the validity. Trump supporters have become rabid in their support.

We're on the same side, I think. We want to go back to where common sense and common values rule the day.

Trump "sounds" like the man for that. My problem is that: 1: I don't believe he can do it and, 2: I don't even think he means it.

Fight, bitch, argue all you like, but all he has so far is words. We've had candidates with RECORDS and you didn't want them.

What would it take, when would you admit...that Trump is not the Trump you adhere  to; the Trump that you promote?

If he takes office, will you ever admit that he is not what you wished for/desired?

Or will it be forever that no matter what he does, you will support him?

I guess the theme of this post is that I don't understand the Trump followers that refuse to admit his weaknesses, his flaws.

I supported George W., Rick Perry and Ted Cruz. I get that they all have flaws. But, dammit! I'll support them with all that I have against what we have now.

And God Bless America, I think each of them would be terrific right now.

And I wonder about you folks. I wonder why you won't let people like me have questions about Trump without it meaning that I want Hillary or hate America...

And if you think that, you sonovabitch...If you ever get me face to face, I'd want to knock you on your closed-minded ass.

Peace.

Right on the money.

Odd, I don't see you've been banned, suspended, muted, or censored in any way for having your opinions. On top of that, I venture to say that most here agree with you. Just because someone or a couple of members said something like 'if you don't support Trump you are helping Hillary' doesn't mean their opinion holds any more weight than your opinion. If you disagree, you are free to ignore, counterpoint them, or give them the finger through your computer screen.

No one is suppressing you.

You are right, generally.

This site is terrific in its openness.

However, there are folks on here that do NOT accept criticism of the Trump. And a lot of my post is directed at them, as well as Trump supporters in general.

This isn't hard. If the shoe fits, damned well wear it.

Actually, Xena...I'm pretty pissed right now. I'm tired of the small-mindedness. I'm tired of the intellectual dishonesty. I'm tired of being the "bad guy" who wants things to be as they were.

I know, I sound like a throw-back. But, for crying out loud, I don't think that's bad for most of America.

Or it wasn't.

I'm getting a bit more scared of Trump than Hillary.  Trump supporters keep telling me she's weak and he's high-energy.  Frankly, I'd worry less about trump and his authoritarian tendencies if he was low-energy!

I find your use of metaphor to be titillating. Your narrative style is only surpassed by the excellent use of classic dramatic techniques. It is clearly written in a form of English with a flare that fits the author and the characters it addresses, a la Samuel Clemens.

It has a defined plot in an appropriate setting with characters that suit the theme of the writing. And you use an exasperated tone which sets the mood and defines the narrative structure of the piece.

Overall, I would rate it as a piece of English writing which was written and that I have read.

I feel ya.  I could tell you a story or two about how and why I am pissed, as well.   And it has nothing to do with what Trump has said or done.  It has more to do with what his supporters are saying and doing (at another forum, not here).

There are so few Trump supporters on this forum you could squeeze them into a janitors' closet at Trump Tower.

I once got so angry at the Trumpkins I got two time outs over it.  When I realized there are only about a dozen of them, I now feel the same way I feel about them as I do the poor kids who have to ride the short bus to school.

Trump has basically turned his back on blacks,Hispanics and women and is hoping angry dumb white guys will carry him to victory.  Think that will happen?

Don't get mad.  Just ignore.

And be around to pick up the pieces when Trump gets his ass whipped in the manner he deserves.
