Report: Trump may meet Mexican president -- in Mexico City

Donald Trump is considering taking a last-minute trip to Mexico Wednesday to meet with the country’s president -- house ahead of a high-profile immigration speech the candidate is scheduled to give, according to the Washington Post.
 
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto invited the mogul to visit him and discuss campaign issues, unidentified sources told the Post. Trump reportedly accepted the offer, which was facilitated by his campaign’s CEO Steve Bannon.
 
Within an hour of the news breaking, Mexico's Reforma newspaper reported that Peña's office denied a meeting would take place on Wednesday, but confirmed the leaders are in talks to set something up.
 
CNN en Espanol received a statement from Peña's office, saying that he "sent invitations to both candidates which were well received by both of the teams' campaigns" but noted that no meetings have been confirmed yet.

Interesting that Trump thinks he can just roll into a capital city and command the presence of the president of a major country with no major notice.

Does he know how ridiculous this looks?  Obviously not.  Maybe Nieto Pena wants to tell him to his face "we're not paying for your wall, chump.

On the other hand, Pena knows he'd just be a prop to Trump if he agreed to this.

I don't know what "last minute" means but Trump going to Mexico City sounds like a security nightmare

This sounds about right.  Just more propaganda for his "big speech" walking back the rest of his "plan" to the delight of his adoring lemmings.

I know it won't happen, but it would be funny if it turns into something about that big Baja resort con job he is being sued for down there.
