Instead of initially offering condolences, Donald Trump looked ahead to Election Day when reacting to news that Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade’s cousin had been killed. Nykea Aldridge, a mother of four, was reportedly caught in the crossfire while pushing a baby stroller in Chicago’s South Side on Friday.

“Dwayne [sic] Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!” the GOP nominee tweeted Saturday morning.

The tweet stunned many on Twitter. It was somewhat similar to the “appreciate the congrats” message Trump had posted in June in the aftermath of the mass shooting at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub.

Black woman gets shot in Chicago?  Blacks should vote for Trump.

Not trolling. That is commentary and satire. That is exactly how I see the NeverTrump movement. They are unreasonable and implacable, and have, in my opinion, silly arguments and childish points of view.

I know the NeverTrumps see themselves as the 'holier than thou' grand protectors of the realm, against the swarming ignorant masses. I happen to view the situation in reverse. I see the NeverTumpers as the people behaving in a silly way.

We can differ and still coexist. I have no problem with anyone or any point of view on this site. I am content with everyone expressing themselves, including me.

Principles and convictions are terrible things :whistle:. Standing strong on what you believe, how horrible. Trumpsters kept saying Trump was strong, so what does "strong" mean in that context? To me a person who doesn't bow down and shift their positions for the mob is strong, but Trump supporters have a very different definition it seems.

I suspect that if Obama were to use this tragedy for political points then he would at least spell Dwyane Wade's name correctly.

This was just an example of what is going on in South Chicago.  It has become a war-zone.  Trump did not ASK for their votes.  Do you want to defend Chicago??.  I  doubt if Obummer would set foot in his  prior neighborhood--nor would Hillary.  He could have left off his final sentence, knowing that you never-Trumpers would be more interested in that than the  outragious murders of women and children there.  Talk about evil and name-calling, you take the cake! 888what
