Group condemns Trump campaign CEO for 'anti-Catholic' remarks

A Catholic group is furious about comments made regarding the Catholic Church by Donald Trump’s campaign CEO, former Breitbart News executive Steve Bannon.

The Franciscan Action Network, a nonprofit focused on Catholic-inspired social justice, released a statement Thursday saying it was "appalled" by Bannon’s comment that the Catholic Church only supports immigration reform in the United States because “the Church is dying.”

"The statement smacks of anti-Catholic, anti-immigrant, racist undertones," the organization said in its statement.

Atheists for Trump must be giving a big hoorah.  I may not be Catholic but Trump is not the candidate for religious freedom.  Beware!
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Soros/MB Obama’s Left Wing Progressive ‘Cleric’ Jim Wallis, Tortures Bible to Promote Intolerant Islam

Jim Wallis, the far-left founder of Sojourner Magazine and beneficiary of George Soros donations who has built a career out of subverting constitutional liberty in America by quoting the Bible out of context, is at it again.

In his latest effort in transparent left-wing propaganda, Wallis extends his love for open borders from the huge populations of Middle East and Africa to the United States to all of Europe.

At The Huffington Post, the self-proclaimed “Christian leader for social change,” preaches to both sides of the Atlantic. “In Europe and in the U.S. — we must welcome the stranger,” he writes.

In the United States, that means, Wallis—acting in his capacity as a self proclaimed divine prophet on earth—commands us to open our borders to illegal aliens from every country on earth.

His command to European countries is clear: They “must welcome … between 360,000 and 500,000 [Syrian] refugees.”

...

Wallis disingenuously fails to inform readers that the press conference held by this “broad coalition of allies representing both secular and religious organizations” was organized by a highly partisan left-wing group, Mi Familia Vota Education Fund, that is founded, led, and funded by LaRaza and the SEIU.

And that purported broad coalition of “more than 234 prominent faith, civil and immigration rights organizations” primarily consists of political organizations, such as “The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), The National Korean American Service & Education Consortium (NAKASEC), The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA).”

There are very few “faith organizations” in that long list of sponsoring groups. In fact, it includes only 16 that have any reference to a religious order in their titles, and almost all of these are “fringe.” One in particular, the Gamaliel Network, was run for decades by Greg Galuzzo, the mentor who trained Barack Obama in Saul Alinsky’s community organizing techniques.

Some smoke; maybe not fire. There have been religious organizations set up to benefit leftist causes.

I'd give the Franciscan Action Network the benefit of the doubt with a cautious eye.

Some of these organizations appear proper and straight-forward. Still, something to remember..

It does appear that the group is heavily into the immigration situation:

Anyone for Sanctuary Cities and Open Borders, even if they are doing it for the sake of compassion has some responsibility when bad things happen in regards to those places.

Formed as recent as 2007.
