Lobbying firms with ties to the campaigns of both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are being investigated by the Department of Justice for potential violations of foreign agent registration statutes and connections to corruption in Ukraine.One of the firms under investigation was run by Paul Manafort, who resigned earlier Friday from his position as chairman of the Trump campaign. Another, the Podesta Group, was founded by brothers John and Tony Podesta.
